Frustrated and confused

Ok, so this may be a classic case of over sharing, but isn't that kind of what this site is all about...

My last cycle was August 31st and I was due to start this last Tues/Wed.  Well, I started spotting late Monday, it was very light and brownish tan with the occasional redish brown and just a little tissue-y (kind of stringy, sorry but it is) and it has continued to be like that all week.  So mainly it is just been barely there (not needing a tampon or pad or liner or anything) and it's been light brown with just the occasional redish brown stringy stuff.  I am sooo frustrated cause I just wish it would start if it's going to start!  What can this mean?  Should I get a preggo test?  This is now day 29.  Suggestions, thoughts?

Test, test, test!  A change in discharge an/or light spotting can be a sign of implantation and pregnancy hormones doing serious work.  I'm sure I've asked this before, but are you doing any kind of charting or anything like that?

So am I reading that correctly that your cycles are normally only about 20 days long (1st day of period to last day before next period)?

My cycles are normally 26-27 days long and pretty much never go over that.  The first day of my last cycle was Aug 31 and the first day of this cycle should of been Sept 26.  No, I'm not charting, just paying attention to any change in anything, etc.

Shouldn't implantation spotting come sooner?  And should it last 3+ days?  I'm going to go buy a test later today.  Thanks for your input!

I think it's worth it to test..

especially since you say you never go past your cycle..

maybe just to be absolutely sure can you wait a few more days?

and don't worry about oversharing we are all women here

well at least I hope...

Since you're not charting, it's hard to say if the spotting would be too late for implantation spotting.  If implantation did occur, it would take a couple days for any resulting excretions to get down to a point where you'd notice them.

In this case, I'd say if you get to a point that your period is late and you're having anything going on that is not something you'd cosider 'normal' for you, test.  Really, any symptom can be indicative of something or nothing.  Darn those conniving utes!

ok, i would just like to say, i am no expert, but since i started ttc  last march, i have had a lot of time to research every possible sign and symptom.  i feel like i do know a little.  i have had the barely there period before and was not pregnant and in my experience, when it is ib, it usually doesn't last more than a day or two, however, brown is good.  the less red the better.  i would test at least to sattisfy your own curiosity, and you never know.  i will keep my fingers crossed for you.  i am assuming you had some well timed ehem...  do you have any other kind of signs?  even tiny signs.  this is a psa that i like to run through when i am getting the itch to test or the thought of maybe.

Yeah, I've had implantation signs last time (it was more of a reddish brown discharge than spotting) and it only was there one time.  But I guess it could be different everytime.

I am having some other symptons, been taking a nap everyday (or felt like it) even though I've been sleeping in.  Going to the bathroom a lot.  Craved chinese food (only am hungry for it when I'm preggo).  A some other slight ones, but I had wrote them off as me being way to focused on getting preggo.  Anyway, I'll test later and report back.

And any more feedback, etc is welcome!

Ok, I scored a 14 (it'll be 15 if the spotting stops).

Ok, I will.  It'll be about 3 this afternoon before I can post any results cause I'm getting ready to leave soon to go get a facial.  Will testing in the afternoon be not as accurate?  I guess I'll buy a two pack of the equate test and I can always test again in the morning.

I've been praying for you!! I hope that the test shows positive.  It sounds likely.  But don't get down if it doesn't.  Give it another day or two and if you still haven't gotten your period, test again! I was a major tester!!    I know negatives are hard to get when you want something so badly.  I've been there! Fingers crossed and praying that you get a POSITIVE!!

By the way, that points list is neat.  But it wouldn't have worked for me at all.  If I wouldn't have been charting and noticed my temps. staying up I never would have thought the test.  I had no symptoms other then being tired throughout my first trimester.
