so, my little bundle of joy and i went to the salon tuesday so that i can get my lovely new do, and she thought it was such a great thing that mommy got a hair cut, she decided to give herself one. luckily i was standing right there in the bathroom when she did it, so it didn't get out of hand, but she took out a nice chunk. i was washing my face and heard a snip.
I think this is a rite of passage for kids. And let me tell you how lucky you are. When Gabby was 3 she had this adorable bob. Well one morning she come wandering in to the kitchen and she looks funny. Apon closer inspection she had cut part of her hair to about 1 inch of hte scalp. I had to take my little girl for a pixie cut :( . It was just a few weeks until her birthday party too. I went in her bedroom and hair was everywhere, including in her fish tank. When I called my DH at the time, he said I sounded in a panic. Although I can laugh at it now.
I guess that old saying "you can't take your eyes off them for 2 seconds" is true! When I was I think 4 or 5 and my little bro was 2 my mom went to the bathroom for like 1 minute and I got some scissors, got in his playpen and started cutting off his hair. She said when she came up to us my back was facing her and she saw the scissors and not my bother and almost passed out because she thought I hurt him. I had done a pretty bad chop job to his hair though! We laugh about it now.
