Does anyone have experience in transitioning from crib to toddler bed. At what age would I try and start? I don't think Mr. is quite ready to move - but I'm a planner ;)
Is he climbing out of the crib yet, or attempting to? Thats when I moved my oldest. She was still quite small so to start we put the mattress on the floor, so she could not fall out of bed. As soon as she got used to the "bed", we got a bed with a single rail.
We moved DD when she was a little over 18 months. It was a no brainer actually, she was actually happy when bedtime came around for the 1st few weeks and happy she was now a "big" girl. Her toddler bed came with the side plastic railing, she hasnt fully fallen off yet. I think once or twice we've awoken to her legs hanging off the side, lol.
mercie was 3 when we got her a big girl bed. she never climbed out of her crib or even tried so we let her stay in it. we completely skipped the toddler bed and went with a twin bed and added a safety rail. she loves it.
