Shoes for baby 7-9 months or just socks?

DO babies this young need shoes or are socks okay?

She won't be walking or pulling up yet so I was thinking socks were fine.

Advice please.

I have some cute Robeez for 18 months--love those shoes BTW.

thanks

i know i am a little weird about this one, but i had mercie in shoes since she was born.  not around the house at first, but when we would go out.  i didn't think her outfits looked right without shoes.  and when she started getting older, i really appreciated that i did that because she was used to wearing shoes so whe she started learning how to walk it wouldn't be a new thing for her.  but imo, i think it is so cute when i see babies out all dressed with shoes on.

I didn't put my son in shoes until he was about 8 or 9 mos old (he's now 10 mos.) and I only did it because he started to pull up on things and the floor was too slippery for him in just his socks. Once I started putting shoes on him I found a pair that is similar to the Robeez that you mentioned because they aren't all that structured and all the books I've read said that they don't really need shoes and that they could end up hurting their feet rather than helping them.
