apparantly when you purchase overpriced italian shoes for your preschooler, you also have the opportunity to spend a half hour (right. now. mama. please!) folding and taping together little pieces found inside the shoebox and creating an unstable four legged animal using the very box the shoes (now tossed elsewhere into a corner — who needs new shoes when you can have THIS!) came in.
i have to admit, i had fun making it. unfortunately it's little cardstock legs are not going to withstand more than 5 minutes of "look mama! the giraffe is jumping off the mountain!" glad i took a photo to remember him by.
