Madeline is starting to really get around. She does the cross between army cral and creeping, and now she trys to pull up on things. I am oficially starting to freak out about her safety. I can't even remember what I did when my big one went through this. So today I was crawling around my house saying to myself "If I was almost 7 months old, what would I get into?" and I realize AH EVERYTHING! Someone tell me where to start or what is easy to miss. I know the basics, blind cords, outlets, cabinets, stairs, etc. But does anyone know some really good tricks?
i felt like i lived in a pretty empty house at that stage with a baby. we moved all our plants, our coffee tables (we had glass tops with squared off corners), lamps and anything else that could be tipped over with the tug of the cord into our basement or into a room that was blocked off by baby gates.
for a while we used baby gates to section off a few rooms in our house that were "safe zones" where we could let him crawl around and explore which included our family room, kitchen, dining nook area, one bathroom and the hallway leading to our garage. the rest of our house was left intact, but it meant we had to hop over a gate to get to the front door, the office, the door to the basement and the stairs leading to the bedrooms.
