Just wanted to introduce myself - I've been lurking over at StyleThread for a long time - but this new forum has pulled me out of lurkdom. :)
We're adopting our little girl from China - and are hopefully travelling to receive her sometime this winter. Lots of paperwork left to process, so we're hoping it all goes smoothly and we travel ASAP (or before!)
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself - I'm excited about having a special place to chat about life as a mom!
She is in Guizhou province, in the south central part of China. We've been fortunate to find two travel videos at our little local library that are all about her province and two or three surrounding provinces (which is pretty astounding, considering it's just a little public library). So, it's been fun to see parts of her province before we actually go there.

And I can't wait until all of our "what in the world should I bring on a two week trip to China in the middle of the winter" posts... (by the way, I found lots of great packing lists on the FCC website.)
