I can see roman shades, because they're classic, but I would want to see them on the ballooney side (is ballooney a word? probably not...) because I think they need to somewhat tie in the frilly-ness of the light fixture (you know what I mean?)

what color? Do you think a plain off white color would be good enough? I already have alot of color going on as is..
they say they have a subtle sheen - that would look fine, IMO - and they come in an off-white called "almond" -- which would probably just look like a deep warm white when they're up.
