New Moms - Check In!!

So, how is everyone doing??

For those who are getting ready to be Mom's - Are you ready??  How are your feeling??

For those who have already become Mom's - How are you adjusting??

I think I'm ready. It's kind of weird to think that in just a week or two I'll be having my baby and they'll actually let me take him home and take care of him. It's kind of surreal. I think I'm kind of a mixture of feelings right now. Although one thing is for sure, I'm looking forward to getting my pre-preggo body back wink.gif And I'm definitely excited to meet this little guy!

How are you and Hayden doing? I'm assuming you went back to work, right? How is that?

Hayden is awesome and has made it so easy on us. Everone jokes that we'll freak out when he has a bad night. The first night home from the hospital he was sleeping 6 hours at a time, waking up for about 20 minutes, long enough for a bottle, and then back to sleep for another 2-3 hours.  Then he started going 7 hours, then 8, and now sleeps around 9-10 hours at a time.  It's great!!!  He only cries when he needs something, eats every 3-4 hours during the day.  Takes a bottle & cereal and a bath around 8:30 and is asleep by 9:00-9:30 everynight.  We have always slept when he slept.  So, we go to bed at 9:30 ourselves! smile We keep the house dark and quiet, except for his humidifier, and I think it's really worked for him since day one.  He's 3 months old and close to 15 pounds now!! He doesn't miss meals!!  He's starting to notice his hands and feet and it's so cute to watch him stare at them and watch him pick up his blanket and things and just look at them in wonder.  I went back to work at about 8 weeks I think it was.  It wasn't that bad.  My mother keeps him on Mondays and I have a friend who keeps him Tues.-Fri.  She also keeps my sisters 6 month old.  She's only about 5-10 minutes from my office and I trust her 100% which really helps.
As far as getting the pre-preggo body back - it takes time!!  I'm still not there!!! I got really big and when I left the hospital and for the first week or so after I still looked very pregnant.  A lot of the weight literally just fell off but then you see what you're left with and it's kind of depressing - or it was for me anyway.  But then I look at Hayden and I forget about it.  My husband is a great support for me and compliments me all the time.  I've been using WW to get off the last few pounds, I do it online, and it works! I'm pretty close to being where I want.  I've started doing sit-ups and hulla-hooping (great for belly) now and I think I'll really start to see an improvement.  I'm trying not to stress about it though, the outcome of getting that big was so wonderful it doesn't really bother me!! But I'm trying.......smile
